While one of Aliant Finland’s lawyers attended the Aliant Fall Conference in Milan last week, at the same time we have been busy with our clients, working on several cross-border cases such as setting up a Finnish subsidiary of a Portuguese company, preparing an IP related transaction between a Norwegian company and a Finnish company, and assisting a client with EU trademark matters.
It has been a hectic couple of weeks not only at Aliant Finland office but also among Finnish businesses generally. A US company DoorDash made a 7 billion euros (USD 8b) startup acquisition of the Finnish food delivery company Wolt. The acquisition is considered large sized in Finland, and significant as a startup acquisition internationally. Consequently, it made the news internationally due to scale and the special nature of the company acquired. See more
