About Tuomo:
Tuomo Kauttu is a partner at Aliant and the head of Aliant’s practice in Finland. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group and regularly represents corporations, with more than 25 years’ experience advising clients on cross-border business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, technology commerce, joint ventures, corporate governance, and other complex corporate matters.
Tuomo holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki and an LL.M. from the University of Washington, where his studies focused on corporate law and taxation, mergers and acquisitions, investments, and business planning. After graduation and court training, he worked in corporate finance at a bank and then spent a year as an attorney intern at a New York law firm. He has practiced business law in Helsinki for more than 25 years.
He serves as a representative of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Finland delegation and is active in the American Bar Association’s International Business Law Committee and Mergers and Acquisitions Committee. He has published numerous professional articles and regularly lectures in Finland and abroad.
